Description
Nitinol Alloy Tube – Memory Tube for Medical Applications
Our nitinol alloy tube delivers excellent superelastic performance and reliable shape memory. This advanced material, often called “smart metal,” returns to its original shape after bending or heating. Because of these properties, the nitinol alloy tube is widely used in medical devices, especially for stent production and minimally invasive tools.

Material Composition of Nitinol Alloy Tube
We manufacture our nitinol tube using a precise combination of nickel and titanium. Each element accounts for nearly half of the composition, creating a balanced alloy with unique functional properties.
First, superelasticity allows the tube to bend, twist, and recover without permanent deformation. Second, shape memory enables the tube to return to a pre-set form when exposed to body temperature. In addition, our material meets medical-grade standards, offering low nickel release and strong corrosion resistance. These features ensure safety and durability in sensitive medical environments.
Manufacturing Process of Nitinol Tube
We follow a strict and controlled process to produce high-quality nitinol tube products. The process begins with high-purity raw materials, which are melted in a vacuum to eliminate impurities.
Next, we cast the alloy into a solid bar and heat it for extrusion. This step forms the initial hollow tube shape. After extrusion, we perform multiple cold drawing stages to reduce the diameter and refine the structure. Between each stage, the tube undergoes heat treatment to restore flexibility and enhance its shape memory behavior.
This thermomechanical process ensures stable performance. Finally, we clean, cut, and polish the tube. Both inner and outer surfaces are finished to achieve smoothness, reducing friction and preventing damage in medical use.
FAQ – Nitinol Alloy Tube
What is a nitinol tube?
A nitinol tube is a hollow tube made from a nickel-titanium alloy. It offers shape memory and superelasticity, allowing it to return to its original shape after bending or heating. This makes it ideal for medical and precision applications.
B Is nitinol tube safe for medical use?
Yes, medical-grade nitinol tube meets strict standards. It has low nickel release and high corrosion resistance, which ensures biocompatibility and safety for use inside the human body.
